RODNEY A. MEERS MAI
Upon graduation in 1980 from the University of Georgia with a BBA degree
and a major in Real Estate and Urban Development, Rod began a career in
real estate appraisal in Atlanta, Georgia. Here he gained experience in
virtually all property types, performing appraisals in a variety of
locales across the country. In 1996, Rod relocated to North Carolina to
join John McCracken & Associates, Inc. where he continued to appraise
investment-grade properties and other real estate around the country for a
variety of institutional and national investors and property owners.
Toward the late-1990s, the focus of work at John McCracken &
Associates, Inc. shifted, and Rod now specializes in eminent domain appraising
for highway and electrical power line acquisitions.
Rod has experience appraising properties as complex as regional malls,
community and neighborhood shopping centers, downtown and suburban
office buildings, hotels and motels of all types, apartment complexes,
business parks, and manufacturing facilities. He is also well versed in
the appraisal of small local properties like retail stores, warehouses,
office buildings, and the like, as well as having residential experience
with a wide variety of properties.

Rod maintains general appraisal certifications in the states of North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia, and is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of North Carolina.
