MICHAEL J. ELWELL

Mike is experienced in the appraisal of real estate throughout North Carolina, Virginia and Southern California. He began his work with John McCracken & Associates, Inc. in 2006, after moving with his family from Los Angeles, California to Winston-Salem, North Carolina. At JMA, he has focused mainly on the appraisal of properties affected by right-of-way acquisitions and/or eminent domain proceedings including expert witness testimony.

Mike started appraising commercial real estate in Southern California, where his appraisal assignments varied from commercial uses to industrial/warehouse uses to office uses, as well as rent studies and other special valuation projects for clients such as financial institutions, insurance companies and government entities. He is currently an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and in the process of fulfilling the requirements necessary to earn his MAI designation.

Mike maintains general appraisal certifications in the states of North Carolina, Virginia, and California, and is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of North Carolina.
